The Get Set for School™ readiness curriculum uses a developmental approach that is based on the most relevant research about how young children learn best. Our program:
- Breaks difficult concepts into simple tasks;
- Creates a setting where every child can achieve;
- Uses really cool materials that make children want to learn.
What and How We Teach
Pre-K is a time of rapid growth and development. It’s a year of preparation for kindergarten and for future success in school and in life. To achieve, children need to be mentored into being imaginative, independent, and actively involved in their own learning.
Why It Works
The Get Set for School™ Pre-K curriculum is a proven success in preparing Pre-K students for kindergarten. This award-winning curriculum was developed 10 years ago in response to requests for hands-on teaching materials and strategies that would make learning fun and easy for Pre-K students.
Today, Get Set for School™ features readiness & writing, language & literacy, and numbers & math programs that incorporate these technics to foster
success:
- Multisensory approach that addresses different learning styles and invites active participation;
- Developmental progression built on what children have previously learned;
- Friendly voice connects with teachers and students.
This program incorporates child-friendly teaching strategies, such as using music and movement to bring lessons to life. Multisensory manipulatives to build and refine gross motor skills. Our readiness and writing lessons teach body awareness, cooperation, taking turns, listening, crayon gripping, drawing, letter and number recognition, capital letter, and number formation.
These are the skills necessary for your child to be ready for kindergarten.
